The prednisone may actually END the cycle for you, especially if you have never tried it before. It is unlikely, but not impossible. There was a fellow who posted a few days back who said that prednisone ended his cycle the last time he tried it. He may post a followup once his current "burst" is finished.
For the majority of us, pred only provides a "pain holiday", but you may be one of the lucky ones. Keep your fingers crossed.
