I am new to the site and new to clusters. I have been given only one drug to fight this thing and that is Maxalt. It works for me, but only last about six hours per dose for me. There are times when the headache last for days and I am only allower to take three, 10mg doses per 24 hr. period. That means there are times I have to deal with it for a while. If your doctor prescribes Maxalt, ask for Maxalt-MLT. The MLT type melts on your tongue and works in less than 30 min. usually. The tablets take a lot longer to kick in, as much as an hour. It is a little pricey and I have trouble with my Inc. Co. getting enough to cover me during a long period. You can go to www.rxlist.com and get more onfo on Maxalt. I hope you find something that works.
