I agree you should know as much as possible about your condition..whatever it might be..VERY TRUE...

The problem is with most doctors that I have encountered is they find that a threat...hahaha I am not one to go in the and blast them with a whole load of information and tell them how to treat the condition or what medicines to prescribe or act like I know more than they do... But when you tell them anything...I don't care what it is and sound like you might know more then they do...they get defensive..or If you ask alot of questions etc.. Man I have gotten some doctors really pissed ...most are honest and say they don't know the answer...

At least it is with 99.9% of the doctors that I have seen in Bis...

An example of this..My current doc is very compassionate and stuck with me through thick and thin for 11 years now...He in turn asked a neurologist how he (the neurologist) copes with seeing chronic conditions all the time and the doctor said well I help them as long as I can and if I can't help or do anything more..I just tell them it is in their heads!!!! My doctor didn't agree with this at all...

But this is the philosophy with the doctors in my town..I have seen it over and over with myself..despite all the evidence that it wasn't in my head!!!

All I can say is keep educated and be thankful for the compassionate doctors who are out their... Jackie L.
