I took your suggestions and ran a scan under "start" then files, etc. and sure enough I found it. Then I tried the Symantec download. I'm not very smart with computers, but half-way through the download, a window came up that said Symantek is NOT compatable w/ your web browser, set security options to max, blah, blah, blah.
I will let this lady, (it's her computer) figure this out for herself and in the meantime I won't e-mail anyone, til I find a house to buy and set up my own computer that has never had a virus, or a cold, or even it's tonsils out. Thanks for all your help though. Linda
