As the wife of a chronic ch sufferer, personally I think it would take a really selfish person to leave a relationship because the other person has an illness. However, that being said, how you allow the headaches to affect your life and the person you love's life is another story. I totally understand the depression, frustration, anger and self pity that sometimes hits, but please make sure you don't direct it at someone you love just because they happen to be the only one there. We have been married 18 years and I would lay down my life for my husband, but there have been times when he has started to lose hope and it is devastating to me when he goes through this. But if you haven't explained your illness to her, please do. She needs to know what to expect because if she happens to witness it with no pre-understanding of the condition, it will probably scare the hell out of her. Everything about you including the headaches is part of what makes you who you are. She will either love you or not, but you can't change who you are. Good luck. I hope you never have another cluster.
