I suffered from mild to severe cluster headaches for seven or eight years, along with what I call "pressure" headaches where it feels like your skull might explode. These typically lasted for hours on end, whereas my clusters were here and gone in about an hour, like a fast-moving thunderstorm. Two distinct headache types, and neither is any fun. Then, last year, my doctor prescribed Lotensin to treat my mild hypertension (high blood pressure). Since then, I've not had a single headache of any type, cluster or "pressure." I've been so pain-free that I've stopped carrying Imitrex and Midrin everywhere I go. My doctor was pleasantly surprised about this development. I have no idea if this might work for others, but it's sure worked for me.
