I know where you are coming from, my husband use to take a deep breath when I had one, you know that kind of breath that says I am tired of it all. I got where I felt guilty, and all I could do was hide when a cluster hit. If anyone found me in my corner, I could only look at them, and say I was sorry. I have learned I don't have to hide any more. I don't care if they understand or not. Just leave me the hell alone when I have one if you don't understand. If you do, grab the ice bag for me and get me some coffee. If you know where I keep my Imitrex get it for me. Let me listen to music so I can think about the music instead of the pain. I am not going to say I am sorry, cause I did not cause them.
I went to a concert with Todd one time. I never went to many places because I was afraid I would have a cluster. If out in public I would run for the car, and leave. Well at the concert it was real hot, we were seated in the middle of a foot ball field. A cluster hit. I buired my head in Todds sholder and rocked, witch was cool with the music playing. Well It started to rain and everyone got up and ran for cover, not Todd and I we just sat there and rocked. Todd said one lady gave him one of those "What did ya do to her looks" but he he did not let it bother him, and I just did not care. The rain helped and the cluster stopped. I learned that day, I can go anywhere and do anything. I stayed and got to see the whole concert :-)! I learned never let others reactions to my clusters bother me. Todd taught me alot, he educated me. I have educated my family. They now know what I need, and help me. They also know when to get out of my way. They learned because I taught them what I needed. Each clusterhead is different in what they want and need. I find most men like to be left alone, most women want to know someone is there, and have a hand to hold. We are all different in what we need, and want durning a cluster so its up to us to educated them.
We will welcome your family here bring them on board. Its looks like the beast was hitting a lot of us this week end, I hope you and everyone that was hit has some PF days ahead.
