I am alarmed at how much advil you are taking though I do most certainly understand. Your seeking pain relief and obviously not getting any. Has your doctor prescribed anything other than verapamil? You need a good abortive. It sounds like you could also use some prednisone and sansert. As for rebound, I've not experienced this except when using to much fiorinal and codeine. I have yet to try O2. I have been in remission now for over a month. When I am having headaches I try to mix my abortives. fiorinal for 1 headache, imitrex for the next then amerge, etc. Good luck to you!! If you are able get yourself to the emregency room or to another doctor. There is no excuse for ANY doctor to leave you in the pain that you are experiencing.
