I take the stuff for seizures. It's a very effective drug for me but it does a slight thinning job on the hairline. Not a problem for me as yet. One should have blood work done to monitor the liver. It can be a problem there.
I find that of the many psychogenic drugs, this one doesn't make me groggy or depressed. In fact it's prescribed for manic depressives and I believe it is a mood stabilizer of some kind.
