Have you ever tried preventative medicines such as an antidepressent, beta blocker, calcium channel blocker, lithium, etc. to try to prevent your headaches from occuring in the first place? There are many medicines to try before you are stuck with living on abortives and pain medicines. However, I know what you mean. I have been chronic for 3 years. everything under the sun to prevent the ha and had no luck so I relied on zomig, imitrix, migranol, stadol ns, percacet, and the ER. However, Just a month ago, My dr. tried me on Lithium. this was my last medicine to try. I must say the initial results are looking promising for me. So don't give up looking for a preventative. There's got to be one out there that will work for you.
