Joy,
Tell Lee not to be discouraged, as Clusters themselves are an enigma of sorts. They do most frequently occur after one falls asleep, but can strike at any time of day. I get them sometimes in the late morning, afternoon, evening - there have been times when I only had an hour or two break before the next one hit.

If he is used to going to bed at a certain time, and perhaps stayed up longer than usual (breaking a sleeping pattern), That could bring it on before going to bed. Is he taking anything else for the CH? You might want to ask the doctor about using a preventative medication that may make the Imitrex more effective as an abortive. Just a suggestion.

Anytime you or Lee need to vent - feel free. There are some wonderful people on this website, and I have received unbelieveable support in dire times from this board. In fact - for a long period, I don;t think I would have been able to go on without the emotional support I have been given from people like Elaine, Drummer, Bob P, Margi, August, Tim M, Todd V, and I could go on and on. There have been times I felt like giving up, but I have received much encouragement to keep fighting this thing, and as I have learned - I am not alone, and there is strength in numbers. Just remember, you and your husband are not alone.

Peace and PFD's,
Carl D
