I myself was only using Imitrex for my CH. This last cycle did I use an abortive med as in Verapamil. It saved me money and broke the cycle.
I was using 6-12 shots a day. Started to get rebound headaches, a CH every two hours !! So using to much Imitrex will get you rebound headaches.
But using preventive meds as in Verapamil and a abortive med as in Imitrex shots might help kill the beast. Just don't do what I did and only use Imitrex for your CH. Learn from my mistake...Suzy
