I am so fed up with this! I have a guy just like this. He thinks that he knows more than the world renowned headache neurologist that I'm seeing. It got to the point where we had a screaming match that I obviously won in no time. It is not a pharmacists job to diagnose, or be the judge as to whether or not you need the meds, but simply to dispense them.
Simon, Pharmacists are nothing but clerks for the docs and insurance companies. Their job is to take a piece of paper and put pills in a bottle, but so many of them think that because they wear a white coat that they have some kind of say over your medical care! Who the fuck do these people think they are to judge or override a doc's prescription. It seems that they are there for the sole purpose of making things difficult for us. As if it isn't hard enough! The one thing we have going for us in this respect is that there are so many avenues to take. Tell that ASSHOLE to give you your script back and take it to another pharmacy that knows its job. "Take the piece of paper and put the meds in a bag." Don't let this moron continue to be a thorn in your side. Sorry you had to go through this, but I think we all do at some point. It's just a reality that sucks.
