I have taken both Imitrex injection, and Amerage not at the same time of course. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes for the Amerage to work for me and it takes about 5 to ten minutes for the Imitrex to work. The thing I like about Amerage is I don't have to go somewhere private to take the it, but the imitrex shot I have to go out of view of people. Plus my arm does not get sore.
