I took a beta-blocker years ago with cafergot when the cafergot had quit working. Did not have much success with it. And I do agree, sure takes the starch out of your sails.
Started using Verelan SR about a year ago and that did the trick for me. Not everyone has success with it, but a lot do. It is a good preventive if you can take it. Check with your Doc....
