I have found (for me) that there is a threshold level of pred ~20mg / day below which I shadow and will get hit. I usually take it 60mg x 3 days, 40mg x 3 days, 20mg x 3 days, 10mg 7-10 days. Pred will mask a cycle and sometimes break the cycle. Given the average length of a cycle is ~4-8 weeks a 6 day pred burst seems short to me. There are other medications that may work better than pred with fewer side effects. You may want to discuss those possibilities with your doctor.
