1. In order to help carry out our global mission we are translating the CH questionnaire. Riccardo is making an Italian version; Ueli is doing the German one; and Annemarie has offered to translate it into Dutch. If Dania agrees to do a Spanish one and Mario Teglia a Japanese one we will be so much better recognized around the world. I am thrilled that these people are so dedicated to the mission of our organization.
2. Paul Logue, our Science Committee Chairman, has lifted a tremendous burden from my shoulders - what to do with the questionnaire responses. Well, he knows what to do, and if you send in your questionnaires, your responses will be become part of his professional-quality charts and graphs. (These will be for us clusterheads and for anyone else who is interested in our ailment.)
3. Steve Van Rees has been appointed Liaison Committee Chairman. He will be working on some "power" letters for us to send to insurance companies, and other documents which will spread the understanding of CH.
By tradition Cluster Headache Awareness Week (CHAW)sort of belongs to Liaison, but Steve will not have time to handle this.
Someone who wants to serve OUCH in this important effort should let me or Steve know of your interest. I get involved with this as Media Chairman, but it would be much better to have another person head this event since I will still be pretty busy with the questionnaire between now and convention time. Besides, the more working together the more fun it can be.
As new members join and volunteer to serve in any capacity we can look toward a great future for OUCH.
