And feeling very cocky! I hereby declare that I have beaten the beast another time. I have been pain free for almost two weeks now after 5 weeks of hell. When my cycle started I tried Prednisone for three weeks, with moderate success, before switching to Verapamil. I didn't see much difference than with the Prednsione but two weeks later the number of attacks reduced dramatically. In a matter of days, I only had a couple of shadows. Was it the Verap or the end of my cycle? I do not care that much and I guess I'll have a better idea when my next cycle hits (although I am in no hurry..). I also tried Imitrex injection twice at the end of my cycle for the first time ever. Incredible success: after 5 minutes into a bad attack I just felt the pain go away. I am now armed and ready for my next cycle.
This was unfortunately my second cycle in less than four months but for the first time in seventeen years I felt I had some serious weapons, and friends, to fight the battle. Thanks to this site. I thank you and wish you all the best. I will be hanging around for sure!
