I worked at a hot-line software support desk way back when. We used to get off the phones and compare notes about the incredible stupidity of some callers. It was a lot of laughs and giggles sometimes.
Our best one was we had asked a client to send us a copy of her file, because we couldn't determine what her exact problem was. We had to instruct her how to copy the file to disk and then send us a copy of it.
About a week later, we got a PHOTOCOPY of the diskette in the mail. Not the diskette, you understand, just the sheet of paper that was a picture of the diskette.
Then there was the guy who STAPLED his disk onto a sheet of paper for us to read. Why, I haven't a clue - I guess he thought we might drop the disk and damage it? This was back in the days of the 5 1/2 floppies, and way before email. Ooops....am I dating myself here? LOL
Fun times were had by all.
