They say it's common for things that work in one cluster to not work in the next one. One common and fairly mild medicine your doctor may want to add to the lithium is verapamil, which may be the #1 prescribed preventative for cluster. Depakote and ergotamine are two other preventatives prescribed for cluster. Besides oxygen, Imitrix and dhe (Migranal) can abort headaches which have already started. Good luck.
