Got a call from my pharmacy today. I'd gone in last Friday to ask for an abortive as my doc hadn't prescribed one to tide me over till my Verapamil kicked in. My doc wasn't working so I saw the on call doc. She gave me samplers of Claritin and Nasacort. Figured, Ok, the cortisone is anti-inflamatory and I've read about a histamine connection. She also gave me a prescription for Fioricet.

Went to fill the scrip and the pharmacist brought out Zithromax as well. Told her I didn't understand the need for an antibiotic and that I'd rather not pay for it as it was expensive. She said that was fine and that they'd call the clinic to find out why it was prescribed.

Well...when they called today she tells me the doctor says I have sinusitis and that's the cause of my headaches. Guess my sinusitis is selective...only feels like causing me pain in the evening. I suppose dealing with our condition over the course of years, daily during cycle, and researching extensively doesn't alleviate the fact that we are mindless peons without a clue.

Think I'm gonna print out a nice little packet of info for her and include a short note suggesting she might want to bone up on the subject of CH a bit.

BTW...I was pain free all last weekend and only very minor pain in the evenings this week. I think it's the Verapamil kicking in but the Nasacort may be helping as well. Praying the best for everyone.

PFDAN

Tim
