And yes, they do seem to get worse with age. I began having attacks at 17, and they were no where near as bad as they are now. I became chronic 3 years ago, and one thing I have learned about the beast is it is very unpredictable. For everyone it is different. Each cycle does seem to have its own uniqueness to it, and so the fact that this one has started off with a bang is no shock to me. CH will throw many, many curveballs at its sufferers, including medications that have been very effective in the past becoming ineffective, or sometimes even worsening the symptoms.

But, I have to disagree with you on one point: I believe it will take a CH sufferer to be a national voice, and to raise the flag for more research. If I am able to do so with my book I am writing ( a fictional account of a CH sufferer), and can get the attention of a certain Mr. Montel or a certain Ms. Winfrey (whom by the way has made unknown, new authors famous overnight), then I will be able to bring other sufferers to light.
I know it sounds like a dream, and for the most part it is; but for now, that is all that is keeping me alive. Right now, it seems nothing touches the beast for me, and I am just forced to ride them out. I am just glad to hear themeds are still working for you.
One voice can make a loud shout, but when a choir is in unison, they can shake rafters.

Peace,
Carl D
