If there is a connection, which I believe there is for some/many, it would be a trigger and not a cause.

1) For the same reason you can drink out of cycle and it won't cause you a CH attack.

2) Think of it as a trigger.

3)Sleep apnea also coincides with REM sleep.

The point to taking care of sleep apnea for CH reasons is to get fewer nighttime attacks. Not to get rid of them all together, although that would be nice too. Just not realilistic.

Also, they both coincide with occuring when blood-oxygen levels have dropped.
