To "JOKE" : My thesaurus offers "chatter", "trick", "crack", "small talk", "burlesque", "farce" and "travesty"...to name butt a few.

2 : something not to be taken seriously : a trifling matter
"Why can only females call themselves a joke"...you ask...Take heart...we men call you that also.
