I have been on Imitrex and Amerge for about the past 3 weeks. Amerge didn't seem to be working, but have found the Imitrex to be a life saver!!! The most I have done is 3 shots in a 24 hour span.
I just gave up the Amerge and started on Lithium this past Saturday. The first 2 days were not pleasant ones, but today has been the best I've felt for weeks. I am currently on 600 mg. of Lithium / day. I hope it works, as these CH tend to take over your life and your family's life. I thought I was through with the CH, as I hadn't had them for over 3 years.
This is my first time commenting about anything on this site. I just found it a few weeks ago, and have found it to be a God-send. Knowing there are others out there that suffer from this makes it a bit easier to live with. When I express what I am going through, everyone responds "Oh, I get migraines, too." Doesn't that just make you wanna spit!?!?!
