I am like Den and Annemarie in that I get my worst headaches AFTER a stressful period, just when I begin to relax. I do admit however, that at the beginning of an attack, my stress level rises...the dread of the pain I know is on it's way. My shoulders get tight, I grind my teeth, I get all worked up and I realize that this can not have a positive effect on the pain. I have tried relaxation techniques, talking through the pain with someone, meditation, yoga, aromatherapy..all in the attempt to ward off this anxiety, but it has yet to help. Hope this helps your research.

Peace and love,
