Some cannot tolerate the side effects, but the low dosage used to break the CH pain cycle is well-tolerated by many.
I took it at the very end of a cycle so I cannot be sure it helped me. But I have an extra prescription which I will use if needed.
If your doctor is a good one he will give you the Prednisone, a preventive, and an abortive. Just remember it sometimes takes a while for these to get to work for you.
