I take 240 mg per day and it seems to help me or my cycle is on its way out (not sure if its the drug or the later) Find another Dr. how knows about CH and is willing to work with you on diff. combos of meds, since not everything works on everybody. As for the coast of Initrex and the Ins. Comp. I agree completely your Dr. can call the pharmacy and tell them its medicaly needed to have more than nine pills a day. I have taken as many as 6 in one day so what do you do suffer the rest of the time? Dr. may have to call your Ins. Comp. and talk with them, he shouldn't have a problem doing this if he does get someone else. I'm a nurse and my Dr. calls all the time to get people covered for things the at first were deined so it can be done. Maybe everyone on this site should start e-mailing the drug comp. until they lower the price, if nothing else it might make you feel better by telling them off. Good Luck Cindy
