Keep with the Verapamil.
It may take a week or so, but once it kicks in, you'll love it.
I'm chronic, so I've been taking it for almost a year now. Haven't
needed a dose of imitrex since last summer. If I miss a few days in
a row, the shadows return.
When I started, I slowly tapered up the dosage to 480 mg/day. After
I started feeling better, I tapered back down to 90 mg/day, which is
what I take now. When this prescription runs out, I'll ask for smaller
pills and see what happens.
