He has been on verapamil for 5 months and it hasn't done anything. He has found relief with midrin and it's not all that expensive. It's around 15.00 for 30 caplets. Cheaper than imitrex.Another thing that works great if your insurance pays for it is oxygen. If your doctor doesn't know how to prescribe it, tell him you need 8 to 10 liters per minute, not to exceed 20 minutes at a time, then can use it again one hour later if needed. He also says that the combination of both really works great. I also suggest that if your doctor isn't very knowledgable about CH please find one who is!!!
