I have some of the same problems. On the left side of my head (where the beast currently lives), my hair in spots feels like needles sticking into my scalp. I also feel that pressure building if I lie down on my left temple, or sometimes if I lie down flat on my back. I have sore spots, including at the base of the skull in the back, and in the temple/ ear area.
I used to keep my head shaved all the time, as it would alleviate the needle feeling; but then everybody wanted to touch it or rub my head - at which point I would grab someones hand and say "Um, don't - or I'll kick you in the jimmies! See how much you enjoy that!" Anyone who knows me though knows better than to do this. Trouble is, I frequently meet new people who don't know better, and then I have to explain myself. That can be a downer as well.
One strange thing I have noticed (anyone else?), is when that stuffiness begins occuring in my left nostril, possibly alerting me to the fact that a CH attack is near; I will lie down on my right side - and my left sinus will pop a few times and eventually open up. Is this possibly aborting attacks, or the result of overruse of nasal spray?
