My last MRI revealed a 1.2 centimeter tumor on the Pineal gland. The function of the pineal gland is to secrete melatonin, the natural body chemical that makes you fall asleep. I won't find out until late April whethor or not the tumor has to be removed with surgery, chemotherapy, or if it doesn't need to be treated at all. Like I said, it's 1.2 centimeters now, if it grows, than it needs to be treated. The track record for this kind of tumor is good. I'm wondering if anyone else has come across this in their MRI's.
