I have been on Depakote for three weeks now, and the headaches seem to have changed a little. Two weeks @ 500mg. daily and one week at 1000mg. daily. While awake, they seem to start slowly with an ache in my jaw. It may take as long as 30 or 40 minutes for it to get to the point that I am sure it is another headache, and just not heavy shadows. I can't afford to waste an abortive on a shadow, so I have to wait. While sleeping, I don't feel them coming as early and don't have to wait too long to figure it out. Also, for the last week, the attacks are on a schedule. Within an hour or so each day, they come at approx. the same time. 1:30 to 2:30 a.m., then 4:30 to 5:30 a.m., then around noon, another one around 4:00p.m., and the schedule repeats itself. Could the Depakote be regulating these things? I know I probably keep asking the same questions over and over again, but when your first experience is your only experience, you just don't have anything to "hang your hat on".

Thanks,
Ike
