I had episodic then chronic for 12 years before I had any meds, or even knew what I had. Remember it will stop and you won't die.
What I did: warm the hands by rubbing together often, eat soft foods, sleep with head elevated such as a recliner or pillows but don't
let your head hang down to one side or the other. Keep your house dark and cool. Have a good supporter with you. Psych yourself up for
the battle. I used to think of it as a war, me against the beast. Apply pressure with hand to forehead. Avoid perfume, air freshners, or
any other smells. Large stores used to trigger CH in me. It may have had something to do with the air control system. Avoid bright light
and loud sounds especially suddenly. Try not to have any Important things to do during this period either with family or work. Do things
ahead if possible so this period can be as stress free as possible. Post on MB for support when needed. Good Luck!
