Daniel's hostility, unacceptable tone of voice and refusal to answer your questions is filling some need he has right now. Perhaps that need is just a way to vent his frustration over the CH or perhaps it's something else.
Try this. Tell him, "Daniel, I need for you to treat me with respect, and in a polite tone of voice. I also need you to tell me about the headaches - frequency and so on.
No, what do YOU need from me, in order to be able to give me what I need?"
Next (and most important) LISTEN to what Daniel says. Chances are it won't be anything so radical that you can't find a way to comply with his needs, even if you need to compromise with one another.
The "act up - punishment" (no tv) routine often just ends up in a never ending, increasing spiral.
Just my opinion.
