It is only about a 2 1/2 to 3 hour drive(depending on how you drive) from Biminigham to Jonesboro. Jonesboro is just south of Atlanta and there is a short cut that avoids the city. Many times, fares to and from B'ham are much, much lower than flights into Atlanta. The cost savings would more than cover car rental. The airline that has the low rates is either Northwest or Southwest. Good Luck!
