i think it was Frank who asked what the status was with the Gates Foundation. I got mail from them a few days before i left. They said that we are too small of an organization and that we don't fall within the grant categories that they set up.
It seems like a catch 22 thing that they won't consider small non-profit organizations. How else are we supposed to get larger without some help? We need more members and more publicity. I know we all know this already, but i'll say it again anyway. Please, join OUCH. For all the lurkers out there, and all of the visitors who have family memebers with Clusters, please join, and help us become larger, and more of a presence.
As far as the Gates Foundation goes though, they may have denied my first request, but i plan on writing them every week. Who knows, miracles can happen.
