You make the assumption that all doctors are money-grabbing etc. How come the doctors in the rest of the world, where the systems are completely different from yours (and where they get paid - a salary - by the state rather than by the insurance companies) don't leap on a cheap and effective treatment that would get us chers out of their hair? The disincentive to prescribe expensive treatments here is the problem - ask any UK cher.

btw. what you've desribed doesn't sound like ch to me - the fact that aspirin, paracetamol and ibuprofen made any difference at all is pretty remarkable...
