to put an animal to rest if in pain, a recent Shepherd had severe stomach cancer, I held him when they gave the lethal injection, no struggle, just closed his eyes and was dead 20 seconds after the injection.

Humans don't have this option, it's a major sin to take your own life and we are told that we will spend an eternity in hell if we even think about it. Instead, we are subjected to years of terrible pain, we lose our homes and all of our earthly pocessions for extraodinary medical bills plus many super expensive non-working treatments that puts a huge burden on our family members.

If a doctor prescribes what is considered, I know not by whom, too many pain killers, he is under suspect and could loose his practice, if he dare assist in a more permanent solution, he is up for murder charges.

Ironically, my dog hated the vet for normal shots and would fight like crazy to get out, but we talked this out and he begged me for relief, at the vets he calmly walked in, got on my lap and extended his paw and said in tearful eyes, please!

I don't understand the bible and it's teachings where man is superior to animals, but man suffers due to original sin, animals suffer just as much if not more, they didn't commit original sin, only thing that is correct is that man will suffer and this is the way we treat ourselves.
