Thomas, Welcome to the CH family.
Unfortunately, I did lose some friends over this. Apparently, the fact I deal with something that has ripped my life apart was too much for them to handle. How ironic that is - too much for them to handle. Hahaha, I scoff!!!
It has even alienated me from my family a bit. My brothers do not understand what I am dealing with. It has also affected my relationships greatly, hence the reason I am still single at 30. I would rather have no friends than have fairweather friends. I am fortunate though in that I do still have friends who try to be understanding and accomodating when I get hit with an attack when out in public or at a friends house.
I have, however, met some great people via this site, and have a few long distance friends that have helped me through some pretty dark times. Check out all of the links on this site. It has some great info as well. Also, check out the O.U.C.H. website. It is the Organization for the Understanding of Cluster Headaches.
Hope you have painfree days ahead.

Peace,
Carl D
