The time that my husband's doc really starting listening to us was when I looked at him and said "I do not mean this to be a smart ass comment, but have you ever seen someone with a ch or have you just studied them." He kinda hung his head and said "no, I have never seen one in action". I said, thought so. I took him so much material that I am sure he hates to see me coming in the door with my husband. It seems the more I know about them and the meds, the more he tries to work with is, and I have seen a big difference in the doctor. Arm yourself with information and do not take no for an answer. Try to use medical terms. After working in a dr's office for 10 years, I have found out they will not try to talk over your head as much if you speak on their level a little. Don't give up...Good luck.
