Not my usual sarcasm.

An old man died yesterday, sittin' in a chair, readin' his Bible. He was 89 years old, and had become a Christian at 17 years of age, and he was a friend to me and my wife. His name was Dewey Steele. He had spent part of the day at a nursing home, conducting church services, for some of the "Old People", as he might call them. I spoke with him every time I saw him. My wife always got a chuckle out of the two of us in conversation (me & Mr. Dewey) 'cause he couldn't hear a lick, and mine isn't all too good, either, so in conversation, there we'd be holding our hands to our ears as if to channel the sounds of our voices into our ears so that we could hear one another. I'll miss him, but I'm really not sad, because if there is a heaven as he so proudly proclaimed, I know he's there. So long ol' buddy! You were truly an inspiration to me!
