Dear Oprah I'm a 32 year old mother of 3. I've been sick for many years starting at the age of 13. Just with in the past three years very ill. Been the hospital many times with no answers. Finally this past Dec.31,2000 I had server sezures I was taken by ambulance to er. I had an Asian Doctor that new what it was. It is Behcet's. Such a rare disease that Doctors now little about it. I've had mouth sores, vaginal sores, ear sores, central nervioes system( Like you would get with MS) heart, lungs,sezures,weakness,stroke,fatigue,to the point i can't take of my kids! I've gone blind in one eye than got part of my sight back. I have dry eyes,joint pain,lost my uterus in Dec.1999. Appedects to this too,galbladder,gi problems,depressen,3 misscareges. Worst of all is how i've been treated by the medical field. There are no istant test so they have to work at it and they don't want too. So they say you are crazy, you have marital problems,you suffering from anxiety or oh you are just have a panic attach. They treat you with no respect. I just now have found Doctors that know about the diseas but I have alot of damage from not being medically treated. My kidneys are damage now and my bladder. I also have sister out their i haven't seen in 28 yrs because our parents died in house fire in 1973 in Lesyle county KY. She was adopted out to another family. This Behcet's is gentic. So you see some one like you can save so many people like me that needs a voice to get out there so people know about it.
