Hi Gary! To find out if you are a clusterhead, you could ask your doctor to try to trigger an attack with nitroglycerin-spray. If an attack occurs after about 20-30 minutes you tryto stop it by inhaling pure oxygen. Make sure to use a tight fitting mask.(Very important! Otherwise you wouldn`t inhale 100% O2.There are neuros who don`t know even that:) It was this way that my cluster was diagnosed. I use O2, because I`m chronic and not allowed to take too much of Imitrex.
You said that you feel the pain in the eyeballs. As far as I know the cluster occurs only on one side. Perhaps a slight chance of suffering from something other? My best wishes to you ,bye, Thomas
