Naratriptan (Amerge/Naramig) has a much longer halflife than Imitrex and is therefore better suited as a preventative for the night.
I take one (in better times only a half) just before bed time. Amerge takes about 30 - 60 minutes to kick in, just in time for the first attack after 90 minutes.
