What you are describing is vertigo...not dizziness that would be from verapamil. Verigo is the sensation of the room spinning. Verapamil generally causes a feeling of lightheadedness after standing. This is because it lowers the blood pressure and heart rate. I am not aware of verapamil causing vertigo, however.
There are several things that can cause vertigo...such as viral infections of the inner ear...but it can also be a sign of something more serious. If it reoccurs, I suggest seeing your doctor. All of us on this board with severe headaches need to have a lower threshold for seeking medical care when we have new neurological findings. As there is no definitive test to say "yes, you have cluster headaches", we need to make sure that we are not missing something.
