Hi Nancy, I spent about 6 months of 1998 going through the various Dr,s to br recommended for gamma knife surgery, the day before the scheduled surgery my insurance co. called off the hole deal claiming the the proceedure was experimental (Prudential). Don't know your situation but I was quoted $25-35,000 and could not swing it without destroying the retirement account. The message here is force your insurance co to approve the proceedure prior to the pre-surgery exams, I lost 5 days from work and around $2,500 by not forcing a predetermination of benifits. Hope like crazy you don't have prudential!
