i prefer heat better...very hot...i don't think it takes the headache away but makes the pain feel better..yeah pacing is good...cold works to feel better sometimes but i find it most times to make the headache worse..i find a cup of hot tea sometimes alliviates headache and also use to place hot cup against side of nose or head where pain is
