I doubt if Ambian or any other sedative or sleeping pill, short of a complete knock out, will let a clusterhead sleep through an attack. The trick is to prevent the night time attacks. Dramamine that Margi suggests may be helpful for this. But the Amerge your hubby got is excellent too for the night. It is a Triptan, like Imitrex, but lasting 6 - 8 hours. If I take one before bed time, the nightly attacks usually stay of. Urge your hubby to give Amerge a try.
