The dead Saturday night live thing: You are afraid your happiness, your humor, has died. You want something, you are trying to catch something, and yet you are only using small bits of dead skin (little, old pieces of you that have stopped feeling) to obtain this. It's safe for you this way - you are only giving the bare minimum of yourself to anybody or anything. And your results reflect that. You catch tiny little fish that are pretty to look at but that do not sustain you. Chris jumping in the water and coming back with huge fish, is to show you that in order to get what it is you so desire, you need to jump in headfirst - stop flirting with it, and open up yourself in order to take in. How? Show your soul (your guitar is a direct opening to it) and find your happiness. Historically, water has represented female sexuality. I do not know if that applies you to, but I hope this helps at least a little.
